अपमानं कृतं तस्य मया कल्ये द्विजोत्तम । तेन मे सहसा व्याधिराशीर्वादमनिच्छतः
apamānaṃ kṛtaṃ tasya mayā kalye dvijottama | tena me sahasā vyādhirāśīrvādamanicchataḥ
« Ô brāhmaṇa éminent, je l’ai insulté hier. De là, une maladie soudaine s’est abattue sur moi—bien qu’il ne voulût point donner de bénédiction. »
