मम स्याद्गृह ऐश्वर्यं तत्सर्वं नान्यथा व्रजेत् । काव्यैरुपहता वेदाः पुत्रा जामातृकैस्तथा

mama syādgṛha aiśvaryaṃ tatsarvaṃ nānyathā vrajet | kāvyairupahatā vedāḥ putrā jāmātṛkaistathā

« Que la prospérité de la maison soit mienne ; que tout cela n’aille pas autrement. » Les Veda sont blessés par la seule ostentation poétique, et les fils, de même, se laissent mener par les gendres et les liens du monde.
