दृष्ट्वा लोकगुरुर्ब्रह्मा देवान्सर्वानुवाच ह । शक्रोऽयं सांप्रतं व्याप्तः पापया ब्रह्महत्यया

dṛṣṭvā lokagururbrahmā devānsarvānuvāca ha | śakro'yaṃ sāṃprataṃ vyāptaḥ pāpayā brahmahatyayā

Voyant cela, Brahmā, précepteur des mondes, s’adressa à tous les dieux : «Ce Śakra (Indra) est désormais saisi par la souillure pécheresse de la brahmahatyā».
