अत्रांतरे नरा ये च निवसंति द्विजोत्तमाः । कृषिकर्मोद्यताश्चापि यांति ते परमां गतिम् । किं पुनर्नियतात्मानः शांता दांता जितेंद्रियाः

atrāṃtare narā ye ca nivasaṃti dvijottamāḥ | kṛṣikarmodyatāścāpi yāṃti te paramāṃ gatim | kiṃ punarniyatātmānaḥ śāṃtā dāṃtā jiteṃdriyāḥ

Ô meilleurs des deux-fois-nés, même ceux qui demeurent dans cette région—fût-ce en ne s’appliquant qu’aux travaux des champs—atteignent la destinée suprême. Que dire alors de ceux qui se maîtrisent, paisibles, disciplinés et vainqueurs des sens !
