Narrator (contextual Purāṇic narration within Tīrthamāhātmya)
Tirtha: Śālagrāma
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee performs pūjā to a dark, smooth Śālagrāma-śilā on a small altar; conch and discus motifs are suggested; lamps glow; offerings are arranged; the deity’s grace is implied as a soft radiance.
Devotion expressed through worship of sacred embodiments is met with divine response—rightful aims are fulfilled.
The Śālagrāma–Gaṇḍakī sacred complex is the implied tīrtha setting for ‘Viṣṇu in stone’.
Śālagrāma/Viṣṇu worship (pūjā) is directly prescribed as the means for attaining desired spiritual and righteous goals.
