Ṛṣayaḥ (Sages)
Type: kund
Listener: Sūta
Scene: A circle of ṛṣis, seated in a forest āśrama, address Sūta with raised hands in wonder; in the background, a shimmering tīrtha where hunters emerge radiant, their bodies transformed.
Purāṇas validate tīrtha-glory through astonishment and inquiry, encouraging faith grounded in narrated tradition (śruti-smṛti style authority).
The same tīrtha of Nāgarakhaṇḍa Adhyāya 23, whose snāna produces dramatic purification and elevation.
Snāna-mātra (bathing alone) is highlighted as sufficient to yield the stated fruit.
