विभक्तिरहितं श्राद्धं क्रियते वा विपर्ययात् । अकृतं तद्विजानीयात्पितृणां नोपतिष्ठति
vibhaktirahitaṃ śrāddhaṃ kriyate vā viparyayāt | akṛtaṃ tadvijānīyātpitṛṇāṃ nopatiṣṭhati
Si l’on accomplit le śrāddha sans les désinences casuelles appropriées—ou si, par erreur, on les inverse—sachez que ce rite est comme non accompli; il n’atteint pas et ne satisfait pas les Pitṛs (Ancêtres).
