Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 122

पितॄणां देवतानां च मनुष्याणां सुतृप्ति दम् । तस्माच्छ्राद्धं प्रकर्तव्यं पुरुषेण विजानता

pitṝṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca manuṣyāṇāṃ sutṛpti dam | tasmācchrāddhaṃ prakartavyaṃ puruṣeṇa vijānatā

Le śrāddha accorde une pleine satisfaction aux Pitṛs, aux dieux et même aux êtres humains. C’est pourquoi l’homme avisé doit assurément accomplir le śrāddha.
