Brāhmaṇa (assuring the yajamāna within the mantra/rite)
Listener: nṛpa / rājendra
Scene: A deity’s or guru’s assuring gesture (abhaya-mudrā) toward a devotee/king, indicating that what is taken as prasāda bears no fault; a ritual tray suggests sanctified consumption.
When dharma is followed and the rite is properly completed, the burden of doṣa is lifted through sanctioned purification.
The verse is not site-specific; it is a ritual assurance within the chapter’s māhātmya context.
The brāhmaṇa’s acceptance and spoken assurance forms part of the prāyaścitta structure, removing the perceived fault for the patron.
