Type: tirtha
Listener: Indra (Sahasrākṣa) implied by subsequent address; immediate listener may be Indra or a deva interlocutor
Scene: Vishnu speaks authoritatively: those who die at Dhārātīrtha facing the enemy in great battle do not return to rebirth, like severed seeds that cannot sprout; the scene juxtaposes sacred ford and heroic combat.
Dhārātīrtha is praised as a liberating sacred place: righteous, front-facing death in dharmic combat is said to cut the root of rebirth.
Dhārātīrtha.
No explicit rite; the teaching states the tīrtha-phala (cessation of rebirth) connected to dharmic valor.
