ताताम्ब किमिदं पापं युवाभ्यां समनुष्ठितम् । अन्त्यजस्य प्रदत्ताऽहं यत्पापस्य दुरात्मनः

tātāmba kimidaṃ pāpaṃ yuvābhyāṃ samanuṣṭhitam | antyajasya pradattā'haṃ yatpāpasya durātmanaḥ

«Père, mère, quel péché avez-vous donc accompli tous deux ? Car vous m’avez donnée en mariage à un antyaja (paria), à un pécheur au cœur mauvais.»
