ब्राह्मण्युवाच । एषा मे सुसखी साध्वी राजपुत्री यशस्विनी । ख्याता रत्नावतीनाम प्राणेभ्योऽपिगरीयसी
brāhmaṇyuvāca | eṣā me susakhī sādhvī rājaputrī yaśasvinī | khyātā ratnāvatīnāma prāṇebhyo'pigarīyasī
La femme brahmane dit : « Voici mon amie très chère, une sādvī vertueuse, fille de roi et renommée. On la connaît sous le nom de Ratnāvatī, et pour moi elle est plus précieuse encore que mon propre souffle de vie. »
