ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः । यद्येतच्छुणुते राजा वाक्यमीर्ष्यापरायणः । तत्सर्वेषां वधं कुर्याद्विप्राणामन्यथा भवेत्
brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | yadyetacchuṇute rājā vākyamīrṣyāparāyaṇaḥ | tatsarveṣāṃ vadhaṃ kuryādviprāṇāmanyathā bhavet
Les brāhmanes dirent : « Si le roi, tout entier voué à la jalousie, entend ces paroles, il pourrait faire mettre à mort nous tous, brāhmanes ; autrement, l’issue sera autre (que celle visée). »
