Parvenu en ce lieu en temps voulu, il se baigna, revêtit des vêtements lavés et devint pur ; puis, prenant l’offrande destinée à Māṁsāda, il accomplit le śrāddha avec un esprit sanctifié par la foi.
Narrator (Purāṇic storyteller; likely Sūta-style narration within Tīrthamāhātmya)
Type: ghat
Scene: A pilgrim-king arrives at a sacred ford; he bathes, changes into freshly washed white garments, sits facing the water with kuśa grass and offerings, beginning a solemn śrāddha with concentrated faith.
Faithful śrāddha at a sacred tīrtha, performed with purity and devotion, becomes a vehicle of upliftment for departed beings.
Gayāśiras is implied as the ritual setting where śrāddha yields exceptional merit.
Bathe (snāna), wear clean clothes, maintain purity, and perform śrāddha with śraddhā (faith).
