ज्ञातमद्य चला लक्ष्मीस्तेन त्यक्तं सुदूरतः । तस्माद्बंधुजनैः सार्धं देवैर्विप्रैश्च कृत्स्नशः । संविभक्तां करिष्यामि सत्येनात्मानमालभे

jñātamadya calā lakṣmīstena tyaktaṃ sudūrataḥ | tasmādbaṃdhujanaiḥ sārdhaṃ devairvipraiśca kṛtsnaśaḥ | saṃvibhaktāṃ kariṣyāmi satyenātmānamālabhe

«Aujourd’hui j’ai compris que la fortune est changeante ; c’est pourquoi je l’ai rejetée bien loin. Ainsi, avec mes proches—et pleinement, avec les dieux et les brahmanes—je la répartirai en parts. Par la vérité, je me lie à cette résolution.»
