Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 9

tathāsya bhūtale loko naiva pūjāṃ vidhāsyati | kīrtayiṣyati no nāma yathānyeṣāṃ divaukasām

FAQs

Purāṇas often explain patterns of worship through moral narratives, showing how actions and words shape worldly religious memory.

Dharmarājeśvara-tīrtha remains the narrative locus; the verse explains social-religious consequences connected to Dharmarāja.

A negative prescription is implied: people will refrain from pūjā and nāma-kīrtana of Dharmarāja due to the curse.
