हारीतोऽपि चिरं वीक्ष्य तन्मार्गं चाकृताशनः । ततः स चिंतयामास कस्मात्सा चात्र नागता

hārīto'pi ciraṃ vīkṣya tanmārgaṃ cākṛtāśanaḥ | tataḥ sa ciṃtayāmāsa kasmātsā cātra nāgatā

Hārīta aussi, après avoir longtemps guetté ce chemin sans même prendre de nourriture, se mit à penser : «Pourquoi n’est-elle pas venue ici ?»
