एतस्मिन्नंतरे कामस्तस्यांतिकमुपाद्रवत् । अब्रवीद्देहि मे भूप स्वां कन्यां चारुहासिनीम्
etasminnaṃtare kāmastasyāṃtikamupādravat | abravīddehi me bhūpa svāṃ kanyāṃ cāruhāsinīm
À cet instant, Kāma accourut auprès de lui et dit : «Ô roi, donne-moi ta propre fille, elle dont le sourire est si gracieux.»
