श्रीभगवानुवाच । एतद्रूपं मया शक्र कृतं तस्य वधाय वै । अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां यतोन्येषां मया हतः

śrībhagavānuvāca | etadrūpaṃ mayā śakra kṛtaṃ tasya vadhāya vai | avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ yatonyeṣāṃ mayā hataḥ

Le Seigneur Bienheureux dit : «Ô Śakra, j’ai véritablement pris cette forme pour le mettre à mort ; car il était inviolable pour tous les êtres—c’est pourquoi il fut tué par Moi, et non par d’autres.»
