यथाश्वमेधो यज्ञानां नगानां हिमवान्यथा । व्रतानां च यथा सत्यं दानानामभयं यथा

Transliteration

yathāśvamedho yajñānāṃ nagānāṃ himavānyathā | vratānāṃ ca yathā satyaṃ dānānāmabhayaṃ yathā

Translation

De même que l’Aśvamedha est le premier des yajña, et Himavān le premier des montagnes; de même que la vérité est la première des observances, et l’intrépidité la première des dons—ainsi le tīrtha célébré l’emporte sur tous.
