दुकूलांचल संपर्कैर्मृदुलैर्मृदुपाणिना । पप्रच्छ तनयं माता वद रोदनकारणम् । विद्यमाने नरपतौ शिशो केनापमानितः
dukūlāṃcala saṃparkairmṛdulairmṛdupāṇinā | papraccha tanayaṃ mātā vada rodanakāraṇam | vidyamāne narapatau śiśo kenāpamānitaḥ
De sa main douce, effleurant l’enfant du bord de son étoffe fine, la mère interrogea son fils : «Dis-moi la cause de tes pleurs. Le roi étant présent, par qui l’enfant a-t-il été offensé ?»
