Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra (Vāyavya-stotra as graha-śānti)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee chants before a liṅga; above, the Navagrahas appear as subdued celestial figures, their harsh rays softened by Śiva’s aura. The devotee stands unharmed within a circle of sacred ash and lamp-light.
Devotion to Śiva is presented as a higher refuge that neutralizes fear of planetary adversity.
Within Kāśīkhaṇḍa, the emphasis is on Śiva’s protective grace associated with Kāśī’s sacred sphere.
Perform japa of the stotra ‘before Śiva’—i.e., in the presence of Śiva (image/liṅga) as a repeated prayer.
