Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and sages (implied)
Scene: A busy puja scene: offerings arranged—flowers, incense, lamps, food—while Dīkṣitāyinī speaks firmly yet respectfully about not missing the proper time; a guest stands nearby, honored.
Gṛhastha-dharma balances deva-pūjā (worship) and atithi-sevā (hospitality), both to be done at the proper time.
The Kāśī-khaṇḍa’s sacred setting is Kāśī, but this verse itself teaches dharma within a household scene.
Deva-pūjā with upahāra (offerings) is referenced as a timely duty.
