यस्य वर्गस्य यो विप्रो न प्रयास्यति तत्र वै । स च वर्गात्परित्याज्यः स्थानधर्मान्न संशयः
yasya vargasya yo vipro na prayāsyati tatra vai | sa ca vargātparityājyaḥ sthānadharmānna saṃśayaḥ
Si un brāhmaṇa ne se rend pas auprès de la communauté à laquelle il appartient et ne s’y tient pas, il doit assurément en être retranché ; telle est la loi du lieu (sthāna-dharma), sans aucun doute.
