शासनं चेन्न दृष्टं वो नैव तत्पालयाम्यहम् । द्विजाः कोपसमाविष्टा ददुः प्रत्युत्तरं तदा
śāsanaṃ cenna dṛṣṭaṃ vo naiva tatpālayāmyaham | dvijāḥ kopasamāviṣṭā daduḥ pratyuttaraṃ tadā
«Si vous n’avez pas vu l’ordre (l’autorité), je ne l’observerai pas.» Alors les deux-fois-nés, saisis de colère, donnèrent leur réponse.
