Narrator (contextual Purāṇic instruction; specific speaker not explicit in this verse)
Tirtha: Lohayiṣṭakā (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Preparation of dark sesame-cake piṇḍas on leaf-plates; the performer offers them with water-libations under a night sky marked by the waning moon (caturdaśī) and then moonless amāvāsyā ambience.
Correct materials and timing in Pitṛ rites intensify the fruit and bring deep satisfaction to the ancestors.
The Dharmāraṇya context is assumed as the sanctified backdrop for these observances.
