Type: tirtha
Listener: Pāṇḍava
Scene: Prabhā, radiant and earnest, petitions Śiva (Umāpati, Manmathāri) to remain by a portion of his power and to establish a portion here so the tīrtha may ‘open’ into full manifestation; the air feels charged with impending liṅga-sthāpanā.
Holy places are ‘unveiled’ through divine presence; a tīrtha becomes efficacious when sanctified by a sustained manifestation of the Lord.
The tīrtha that becomes known as Prabhāseśa—manifesting on the Narmadā bank in the Revā Khaṇḍa.
The verse implies sthāpanā/pratiṣṭhā (establishment) of a divine portion, foundational to liṅga/tīrtha consecration.
