गतः पितामहं सोमो वेपमानोऽमृतांशुमान् । पद्मयोने नमस्तुभ्यं वेदगर्भ नमोऽस्तु ते । शरणं त्वां प्रसन्नोऽस्मि पाहि मां कमलासन
gataḥ pitāmahaṃ somo vepamāno'mṛtāṃśumān | padmayone namastubhyaṃ vedagarbha namo'stu te | śaraṇaṃ tvāṃ prasanno'smi pāhi māṃ kamalāsana
Tremblant, Soma aux rayons semblables au nectar se rendit auprès de l’Aïeul, Brahmā. «Ô Né du Lotus, hommage à toi; ô Matrice des Veda, hommage à toi. Je prends refuge en toi; sois favorable, protège-moi, ô Toi qui sièges sur le lotus.»
