क्षयरोग्यभवच्चन्द्रो दक्षस्यायं प्रजापतेः । स च शापप्रभावेण निस्तेजाः शर्वरीपतिः
kṣayarogyabhavaccandro dakṣasyāyaṃ prajāpateḥ | sa ca śāpaprabhāveṇa nistejāḥ śarvarīpatiḥ
Par la malédiction de Dakṣa, la Lune—issue de ce Prajāpati—fut atteinte d’un mal qui consume. Sous l’effet du sort, le seigneur de la nuit perdit son éclat.
