Mārkaṇḍeya (contextual attribution within the Revā Khaṇḍa dialogue)
Tirtha: Narmadā-tīrtha
Type: kshetra
Scene: On the Narmadā bank, devotees perform tīrtha-sevā—cleaning steps, offering lamps and tulasī—while Viṣṇu appears subtly as a radiant presence above the waters; sick devotees are shown recovering.
Tīrtha-sevā to the Narmadā grants bodily well-being and worldly prosperity, rooted in divine grace.
Narmadā-tīrtha (Revā’s sacred fords and riverbank holy places) as celebrated in Revā Khaṇḍa.
The prescription is tīrtha-sevā—devotional attendance and service to the Narmadā’s sacred places.
