Tirtha: Śūlabheda-kathā (as recitable māhātmya)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Narādhipa (king)
Scene: A devotee recites the Śūlabheda narrative with folded hands at a tīrtha-bank or inside a temple; a subtle aura of cleansing light surrounds, symbolizing sins falling away.
Bhakti-infused recitation of tīrtha-māhātmya is presented as a powerful purifier across lifetimes.
Śūlabheda tīrtha is the underlying subject; the verse also generalizes merit to any tīrtha or temple setting.
Pāṭha (devotional recitation), especially performed at a tīrtha or in a devakula (temple).
