ईश्वर उवाच । स्वागतं देवविप्राणां सुप्रभाताद्य शर्वरी । किं कुर्मो वदत क्षिप्रं कोऽन्यः सेव्यः सुरासुरैः
īśvara uvāca | svāgataṃ devaviprāṇāṃ suprabhātādya śarvarī | kiṃ kurmo vadata kṣipraṃ ko'nyaḥ sevyaḥ surāsuraiḥ
Īśvara dit : «Soyez les bienvenus, ô dieux et brahmanes-sages. Cette nuit s’est changée en une aurore de bon augure. Dites-moi vite : que devons-nous faire ? Qui d’autre est digne d’être recherché comme refuge et service par les Devas et les Asuras ensemble ?»
