Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: A devotee worshipping Śiva at night on Pauṣa kṛṣṇa aṣṭamī; moonlit winter atmosphere; cosmic vision overlay—Śivaloka above, with luminous Śiva and vast time indicated by repeating Indra motifs or celestial regalia.
Timing sanctifies devotion—Śiva-pūjā on auspicious tithis yields extraordinary, long-lasting spiritual fruit.
The larger passage belongs to the Revā Khaṇḍa (Narmadā pilgrimage sphere), where rites and their fruits are praised in connection with that sacred region.
Performing Śiva worship specifically on Pauṣa month’s kṛṣṇa-pakṣa Aṣṭamī is stated to be especially potent.
