Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating to the sages (contextual deduction)
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā) tapas-associated tīrtha (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The Lord appears or is felt as a radiant presence above the riverbank ascetic; light descends, washing him in purity; a vision of the divine realm is hinted—celestial architecture or luminous mandala—signifying sālokya.
Devotion and disciplined dharma performed over time draws divine grace, yielding both worldly purification and otherworldly attainment.
The Revā (Narmadā) tīrtha setting of the Tilādeśvara māhātmya in this chapter.
No new rite is prescribed here; it states the result: īśvara-prasāda leading to ihāmutrika-śuddhi and sālokya.
