Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 9

सर्वक्षत्रगुणैर्युक्तो ब्रह्मविद्ब्राह्मणोत्तमः । तोषयन्परया भक्त्या पितरौ परमार्थवत्

sarvakṣatraguṇairyukto brahmavidbrāhmaṇottamaḥ | toṣayanparayā bhaktyā pitarau paramārthavat

Pourvu de toutes les vertus d’un kṣatriya, et pourtant connaisseur de Brahman et le plus éminent des brāhmaṇas, il réjouissait ses parents par une dévotion suprême, tel un être voué à la vérité ultime.
