Le voyant suinter de tous ses membres, ils s’écrièrent : « Fi, fi ! » et dirent : « Sors vite, toi qui empestes ; quitte promptement cette maison, ô le plus bas des deux-fois-nés ! »
Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya (quoting the householders/ritual patrons)
Tirtha: Revā-kṣetra (Narmadā tīrtha sphere)
Type: kshetra
Listener: sages
Scene: Householders recoil as the guest’s body oozes; hands raised in disgust; harsh words thrown; the guest stands steady, bearing humiliation.
Contempt for the suffering and harsh speech are dharmic failures; judging by appearance can become an offense against the divine.
The verse is part of the Revā (Narmadā) narrative context; it does not glorify a named tīrtha directly.
None; it depicts improper conduct (apacāra) contrary to atithi-dharma.
