नर्मदायास्तु माहात्म्यं यत्पूर्वेण मया श्रुतम् । तत्तेऽहं सम्प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणुष्वैकमना नृप
narmadāyāstu māhātmyaṃ yatpūrveṇa mayā śrutam | tatte'haṃ sampravakṣyāmi śṛṇuṣvaikamanā nṛpa
«La grandeur de Narmadā, telle que je l’ai entendue jadis, je vais maintenant te l’énoncer. Écoute d’un esprit recueilli, ô roi».
