Munis (Sages)
Tirtha: Revā-kṣetra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sages, stern and composed, refuse to look directly at a friend-betrayer; attendants draw a curtain, placing the accused behind it, as the sages prepare to declare his destined course.
Betrayal of trust and friendship is treated as an especially grave adharma, warranting solemn adjudication of one’s fate.
This verse is within the Revā Khaṇḍa (Narmadā/Revā sacred geography), but this specific line focuses on moral judgment rather than naming a particular tīrtha.
No ritual is prescribed here; the sages arrange a hearing/announcement of the sinner’s destined consequence.
