Type: tirtha
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: A composite ritual tableau at a riverbank: pilgrims bathing, a donor giving cows/food, a sage doing japa with mālā, a small homa-kunda with flames, a student reciting Veda, and a shrine where flowers are offered—unified by a radiant tīrtha aura labeled ‘anantya’.
The sanctity of a tīrtha multiplies ordinary dharmic acts into inexhaustible spiritual merit.
Deva-tīrtha in the Revā Khaṇḍa.
Snāna, dāna, japa, homa, svādhyāya, and devatā-arcana are recommended, with special emphasis on the tīrtha’s amplifying power.
