Type: kshetra
Listener: Śambhu / Rudra (Śiva)
Scene: Sages with folded hands address Śambhu; Śiva stands calm, ash-smeared, with matted locks; behind them the river and the newly appeared water-current; faces show ‘sammohā’—awed confusion.
Inquiry into sacred phenomena is encouraged; the Purāṇic mode teaches through dialogue, revealing the hidden greatness of tīrthas.
The Revā-related tīrtha where water manifests from Viṣṇu’s feet, prompting theological explanation.
Indirectly tied to avabhṛtha-snānā; the verse itself is a question about the origin of the bathing water.
