Transliteration

dāhāya nāmalo vahnernāpaḥ kledāya cāmbhasaḥ | taddravyameva taddravyavikārāya na vai yataḥ

Translation

Le feu n’est pas, par son seul nom, destiné à brûler, ni l’eau à mouiller ; car la substance elle-même n’est pas en vérité la cause de la modification de la substance.
