Type: kshetra
Listener: Garuḍa (addressed as mahābhāga, suvrata, khecara)
Scene: Śiva, visibly pleased, addresses Garuḍa: ‘Choose a boon’; the cosmic scale is emphasized—rare across the three worlds—while Garuḍa stands as a ‘khecara’ (sky-roamer).
Divine grace responds to steadfast vows; when the Lord is pleased, even the rarest attainments become possible.
The broader setting is the Revā (Narmadā) sacred region in the Revā Khaṇḍa, though this verse itself focuses on the boon-dialogue rather than a named tīrtha.
No explicit ritual is prescribed here; the emphasis is on su-vrata (steadfast vow/observance) as the basis for receiving grace.
