स्मृतिवेदपुराणेषु यदुक्तं तत्तथा भवेत् । इति निश्चित्य तं विप्रमुवाच प्रहसन्निव

smṛtivedapurāṇeṣu yaduktaṃ tattathā bhavet | iti niścitya taṃ vipramuvāca prahasanniva

«Ce qui est énoncé dans les Smṛti, les Veda et les Purāṇa doit assurément être ainsi.» L’ayant arrêté, il parla à ce brāhmane, comme en souriant.
