adya me saphalaṃ janma hyadya me saphalāḥ kriyāḥ | sarvānkāmānpradāsyanti prītā me'dya pitāmahāḥ
The brāhmaṇa host (continuing)
Tirtha: Revā tīrtha (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The brāhmaṇa, overwhelmed with gratitude, declares his life fulfilled; behind him, an implied ancestral presence (pitṛs) is suggested as subtle luminous figures blessing him, while the river flows as witness.
Service performed with devotion is seen as completing one’s life-purpose and bringing pitṛ-prasāda (ancestral blessing).
The Revā tīrtha environment frames the act as exceptionally fruitful, consistent with tīrtha-māhātmya.
No formal rite is prescribed, but the verse links merit and pitṛ-satisfaction to the act of honoring a guest with food.
