Unspecified (phalaśruti/instruction within Revā Khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Mokṣa-oriented Revā-tīrtha (as implied by surrounding section)
Type: ghat
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: A pilgrim on the Narmadā bank during dark-fortnight caturdaśī: dusk-to-dawn lamps, bilva leaves, a Śiva-liṅga shrine, the devotee staying through the night in vowful vigil; river flowing beside the tīrtha steps.
Śiva’s grace, invoked through timed observance and steadfast worship at a sacred setting, overrides even heavy karmic burden.
The Revā/Narmadā tīrtha environment of the Revā Khaṇḍa, where an ahorātra stay and worship are praised.
Āśvayuja kṛṣṇapakṣa caturdaśī observance: remain for a full day and night and worship Maheśvara.
