Mārkaṇḍeya (deduced from surrounding chapter flow)
Tirtha: Revā-kṣetra (Avanti frame)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pārtha (as addressed in the verse)
Scene: A pilgrim bows to a radiant yogin seated in meditation near a Śiva shrine; the yogin’s presence subtly mirrors Śiva (third-eye mark, rudrākṣa), indicating that worship of the realized yogin yields Śiva-worship fruit.
Honouring a realized Śiva-yogin is treated as equivalent in merit to worshipping Śiva Himself.
No single site is named in this verse; it supports the broader Revā Khaṇḍa praise of Narmadā-region Śaiva dharma.
Pūjā (ritual honour) offered either to Śiva or to a foremost yogin devoted to Śiva.
