Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 11

ब्राह्मणैः सह विद्वद्भिः प्रविष्टः सूतिकागृहम् । स्वस्तिकं वाचयित्वास्याश्चक्रे नामेति रुक्मिणी

brāhmaṇaiḥ saha vidvadbhiḥ praviṣṭaḥ sūtikāgṛham | svastikaṃ vācayitvāsyāścakre nāmeti rukmiṇī

Entrant dans la chambre des relevailles avec des brāhmanes érudits, il fit réciter des bénédictions de bon augure ; ainsi lui conféra-t-il le nom de « Rukmiṇī ».
