Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 142

मृष्टान्नं ब्राह्मणस्यार्थे स्वर्गे वासं तु यान्ति ते । ब्रह्महत्याश्वमेधाभ्यां न परं पापपुण्ययोः

mṛṣṭānnaṃ brāhmaṇasyārthe svarge vāsaṃ tu yānti te | brahmahatyāśvamedhābhyāṃ na paraṃ pāpapuṇyayoḥ

Ceux qui offrent, pour un brāhmaṇa, une nourriture choisie et bien apprêtée obtiennent une demeure au ciel. Car, dans la mesure du péché et du mérite, rien ne dépasse la brahma-hatyā (meurtre d’un brāhmaṇa) et l’Aśvamedha (sacrifice du cheval).
