Purification of the Six Adhvans / Sixfold Cosmic Path

Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It emphasizes disciplined completion of worship: offerings, mantra-recitation, and tarpaṇa culminate in sanctified remainder (prasāda), reflecting Shaiva Siddhanta’s stress on right action (kriyā) performed as an aid to grace and purification.
In Saguna Shiva worship, rites like homa and mantra-japa are performed as service (sevā) to Lord Shiva; the properly concluded ritual and reverent reception of the remainder reinforce the devotee’s relationship with Shiva as Pati (the Lord) who sanctifies the act and the worshipper.
It points to a complete arc of practice: homa/offerings, mantra performance up to the tarpaṇa conclusion, and respectful distribution/consumption of the consecrated remainder—an instruction in orderly, tradition-aligned Shiva-pūjā.
