Nityā-paṭala-prakaraṇa
The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in Vedanga/ritual context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links disciplined Vedic ritual—right substance (palāśa flowers) and right timing (kāla)—with the blossoming of higher learning, presenting scholarship as a fruit of dharmic practice.
While primarily ritual-technical, it supports bhakti indirectly: correct homa is an act of reverence to Agni and the Vedic order, purifying the practitioner so knowledge and devotion can become steady.
It emphasizes kalpa (ritual procedure) and kāla-niyama (proper timing), implying the importance of correct ritual rules and prescribed materials for intended results.
